It felt like it lingered forever before we knew were done. W
We're waiting for the second
to not feel a thing.
Time flies...
that was an expression before it was a truth.
The phrase we used when we enjoyed our lives;
the same that would eventually bring us to our knees.
I told them I would see them there...
that's what they wanted to hear.
People hanging to the bible trying to get closer to god,
unaware of what they've wished for.
Everyone was crying,
everyone was.
I can see the end and its easy, no one will miss me,
I won't miss anyone.
There won't be time for that.
I finally laugh when I realize I how lucky that makes me.
No politics anymore;
no worthwhile broadcast undoubtably running its
final emergency alert.
I've never felt so connected to the world,
everyone looking at the same thing at the same time.
There is almost a kind of beauty in this.
Almost.
I told them I would see them there, I
don't believe that, but some people need to hear it.
Then it happened....
The brightest light in the world was switched on;
then switched off again.
With its flash went everything I knew
including
myself and the ones I love.
All of my belongings took to a new form,
including you.
I will see you there.
I need to hear that.
